Dublin Pumpkin Grower Seals €150,000 Contract With Aldi

Pumpkin grower Donnelly Fruit & Veg has signed a new contract, worth over €150,000 with Aldi Ireland, ahead of Halloween.

This is the 2nd year Aldi will sell the Dublin-based fruit company's pumpkins, which will be available across the discounter's stores from this Thursday, 3 October, with prices starting from €0.99.

“Aldi always aims to provide our shoppers with the very best in Irish grown fruit and vegetables at unbeatable prices," said John Curtin, Aldi’s group buying director.

"Partnering with Donnelly Fruit & Veg for this year’s Halloween pumpkins demonstrates this on-going commitment.”

Aldi said that it expects to sell 50,000 Irish grown pumpkins this Halloween; a 10% increase compared to 2018.
