Keelings recently hosted a site tour of its farm to give media representatives insight into the production and growing processes that take place at St Margaret's each year.
The tour began with a breakfast in the strawberry glasshouse, during which David Keeling, managing director welcomed all attendees and gave a history of the company. Caroline Keeling, chief executive took the floor next to talk about the commercial side of the business, plans for growth and the level of overseas business.
The tour then moved on to the apple orchard, where head apple grower Brendan O'Sullivan spoke in-depth about the different varieties of apples grown on the farm and the science behind the growing process.
Guests also visited the pepper glasshouse to see the plants developing, and were taken through the growing process by head pepper grower, Jarleth Kingston.
