Total Produce Says Trading Remains Positive

Fresh produce firm Total Produce said that trading remained positive in the first 10 months to 31 October 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a short trading update, Total Produce said its sales continued to be resilient in its Wholesale and Retail divisions, which offset reduced demand from its Food Service division.

The company said its sales, adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) and adjusted earnings per share are now expected to be slightly ahead of full year 2019.

'The group's strong presence in the global fresh produce industry, the diversity of its operations and products, together with the exceptional response from our people, enables the company to meet the challenges,' it said.

Total Produce added that it has been awarded the Origin Green Gold Standard, which recognises excellence in sustainability practices.
