Did you know ... UK retail group the Co-op is developing a new fully-biodegradable paper tea bag, with the aim of reducing the amount of waste created by the popular beverage. The retailer says that its own-brand 99 Tea will be produced without polypropylene - an industry-wide method used to seal tea bags.
Did you know ... UK supermarket chain Asda is introducing new heart-shaped crumpets, giving shoppers options for a Valentine's Day breakfast. The retailer's 'Loveheart Crumpets' will be available in Asda stores and online from 1 February, at a price of £1 per pack of four crumpets.
Did you know ... German discounter Aldi has announced it will add more than 60 new organic products to its private-label ranges in Germany this year. The retailer said that in 2018 it will focus on developing its range so that the entire household shopping can be done purchasing only organic.
Did you know ... Portuguese retailer Continente has launched a new app called Smart Continente that allows users to complete online grocery orders using voice command in Portuguese. Users can check prices and promotions, and quickly add multiple products at a time. They can then request delivery or make a payment, completing the purchase on Continente’s website or on the Continente app.
