Mondelēz Unveils Clive Jones As New Northern Europe President
Mondelēz International has announced the appointment of Clive Jones as President, Northern Europe.
Jones will be responsible for the group’s businesses in Ireland, the UK, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark, where it manufactures some of its most-loved brands.
“I’m excited and privileged to have the opportunity to lead one of Northern Europe’s largest, and most admired, food companies, which is home to some of the most loved and iconic brands in the world including Cadbury,” Jones said.
Building On Success
Jones joined Mondelēz last year as President, Gum, Candy, Beverages and Meals, Asia Pacific Middle East and Africa (AMEA), and helped drive market share and growth across 15 markets.
He previously spent 16 years at PepsiCo, latterly as vice president snacks for Aisa Pacific.
“This business has delivered strong, profitable, growth in recent years, investing in our brands, colleagues, and operations while responding to changing consumer expectations and a dynamic policy environment,” Jones added.
“I’m looking forward to building on this success, unlocking further sales growth and ensuring Mondelēz is a great place to work and is making a positive impact on the communities we work in.”
He takes over from Glenn Caton, who takes on a new role within the business as President Chocolate, AMEA. He has been with the group since 2013, as Director for the Chocolate Category in the UK and Ireland.
The confectionary giant recently announced that it made ‘advanced progress’ in several of its sustainability goals in a progress report on its 2017 Impact For Growth aimed for 2020.
