Aldi Launches Refillable Cleaning Sprays

Aldi is the first supermarket to launch its own-brand refillable cleaning sprays, in a move that will save an estimated 14 tonnes of single-use plastic a year.

Four new Power Force concentrated products, including window, shower, kitchen and bathroom concentrates are on sale now and retail at €1.89.

Each one allows customers to easily mix their concentrate with tap water to create four bottles of cleaning spray without compromising on quality, reducing the need to buy single-use spray bottles each time.

The concentrate refill bottles are fully recyclable, and the concentrated refill solution - as with all Aldi household cleaning products - has been awarded Leaping Bunny Certification, the discount retailer said.

Aldi said that it is on track to have all own-label packaging recyclable, reusable or compostable by 2022, and aims to halve the amount of plastic packaging it sells by 2025.
