The Luxembourg-based producer of glass and metal products Ardagh Group, whose headquarters is in Ireland, has produced the new look for the Nivea female deodorants range.
The new bottles, which were designed by Beiersdorf, will come in a taller sleek-shaped aluminium aerosol can.
The re-packaging process took three-years to design and complete and is toted as one of the most important marketing projects in the brand’s history.
The design was extensively market tested for consumer reaction and comment and received a favourable response.
“With our long-standing customer, Beiersdorf, we investigated various technologies at the cutting edge of aerosol can production. As a result, we believe we have set new standards for high-quality metal packaging for today’s consumer,” said Bernhard Meier, Commercial Director at Ardagh’s metal division.
Klaus-Peter Stange, Global Packaging Research & Development at Beiersdorf added, “Finding an optimum production solution for this sleek new design was crucial and we are very pleased with the outcome of what has been a very complex but rewarding project. Ardagh’s commitment to excellence throughout this project was much appreciated.”
In April, the metal and glass packaging company announced its financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2018, reporting a revenue growth of 13%, from $1960 (€1,607) million to $2224 (€1823) million.
