Ardagh Group To Step Up Production In Valparaiso Facility

Irish-based packaging giant The Ardagh Group has announced that it will step up its production in its Valparaiso facility.

The move comes as the can maker aims to meet the increasing demand for innovative, ‘eye-catching’ beverage can packaging.

The plant, which is ISO–9001:2015 certified, will be increasing production by approximately 10%.

The newly ramped-up production will begin in the third quarter of 2019.

“We’re very proud to increase Valparaiso’s production capabilities, further positioning the plant as a world-class source of innovative, eye-catching tabs and ends,“ he said.

“We are providing leading beverage organisations the best in brand-building packaging, enabling differentiation on retail shelves with the inherent environmental benefits of aluminum cans.”

The beverage can plant was built in 1987, and totals 135,000 square feet worth of manufacturing and warehouse space.

It produces the end or “top” of the can as well as the tab.
