7Up was the biggest spender on outdoor advertising in July in the Food & Beverage sector, according to the latest Posterwatch report from PML Group.
The Pepsico brand accounted for approximately €312k worth of spend as it ran an extensive OOH campaign that promoted the variety of artwork used by 7UP on its cans since the 1930s.
7Up finished well ahead of the next big spenders Barry's Tea, which accounted for €227k worth of spend, and Ritz Crisp & Thin, which accounted for €221k worth of spend. Other big spenders during the period included HB 'Goodbye Serious' (€214k worth of spend), Innocent Coconut Water (€176k worth of spend), and Sprite (€161k worth of spend).
In terms of categories, Telecoms reached the summit of the leaderboard once again this month with a spend of just over €1.8 million, just ahead of Beer & Ciders, which accounted for €1.7 million worth of spend on outdoor advertising.
According to the report; "Telecoms spend was up 25% compared to July last year, with Meteor and Three running campaigns and Vodafone featuring in the top 10 advertisers for July."
