Aldi Driving Job Search Following Store Expansion Announcement

Following Aldi’s announcement to invest €100 million and 400 new jobs in its Irish store network, the retailer has begun an employment drive throughout the country, offering strong salaries and extensive benefits packages to candidates for Are manager, Store Manager, and Assistant positions.

Already employing over 3,200 people in Ireland, Aldi has offered an annual starting salary of €55,000 to successful Store Manager candidates, rising to €80,000 for a five day 45-hour week.

Area managers will be offered a starting salary of €61,000, rising to €95,750 over four years alongside a company car.

Group manager Director for Aldi Ireland commented on its proposals: “We are seeking motivated, enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to join the Aldi team and contribute to our continued success in Ireland. We need great people to join our business to help us in continuing to deliver the highest level of customer service that our customers have come to expect.”

The recruitment drive follows Aldi’s announcement to invest €100 million in its Irish store network and to open 20 new Irish stores over the next three years. Planned new stores will open in Trim, Co. Meath, Leixlip, Co. Kildare, and Ennistymon, Co. Clare, in early 2017.

Hurley remarked, “We have a very aggressive store opening plan for the next three years, planning to open 20 new stores plus additional extensions to our current store portfolio. We are building on the sustained growth we have achieved in the last few years and will be creating an additional 400 jobs.”
