Aldi officially launched its Christmas advertising campaign yesterday by admitting it is the brand behind the anonymous teasers, which have popped up across social media over the past few days, featuring a lone carrot.
The supermarket's Christmas campaign follows Kevin The Carrot’s quest through a Christmas dinner spread (which replicates a winter wonderland) to meet Santa. The feast features a number of Aldi’s award winning grocery products, such as it's Specially Selected Goose Fat Roast Potatoes and Veuve Monsigny Champagne Brut.
Finbar McCarthy, Group Buying Director at Aldi, said, “We’ve had an incredibly successful year at Aldi and our Christmas advert aims to celebrate our award-winning products, commitments to fresh, Irish quality produce and of course our show-stopping festive range.”
The animated advertisement is played out set against the iconic American composer John Williams’ Home Alone soundtrack, which features on an advert for the very first time ever. He added: “We hope viewers enjoy watching Kevin The Carrot’s story as his adventures unfold throughout the festive season.”
Aldi is continuing to extend its festive Specially Selected range and its Specially Selected Exquisite range, which include a vast array of exclusive products nationwide.
