Mondelez' Halls XS brand was the biggest spender on outdoor advertising spending in the food and drink sector in February, according to the latest Posterwatch report from the PML Group.Halls XS accounted for €303,000 worth of spend for February, ahead of Kinder Joy (€209,000), and MaltEaster (€183,000).
Lucozade Energy (€164,000) and Dairygold (€158,000) were other notable spenders during the period.
February is typically a busier month for Outdoor spend than January, owing to a busy period for the Confectionery category.
Confectionery and Snacking (€1.2 million) was the third biggest category in terms of Outdoor spend, with Retail Outlets accounting for €895,000 worth of spend. Beers and Ciders accounted for €671,000 worth of spend.
In terms of drinks brands, Guinness was the biggest spender on Outdoor during the period, accounting for €213,000 worth of spend, ahead of Budweiser (€196,000).
