Did You Know… A wet wipe ban has been proposed in the UK? A recent report from Water UK showed wet wipes account for 93% of the blockages in UK sewers (‘fatbergs’) and the British government has put it to manufacturers to either make a biodegradable alternative or to do without.

Did You Know… UK retail sales took a battering from Storm Emma? April retail sales fell 4.2% year-on-year after a 1.4% rise in March. This is the largest fall since 2005.

Did You Know… Sainsbury’s and Asda could be forced to sell at least 73 of their stores? If the merger were to go through, the competition regulator in the UK would force the combined groups to sell stores in areas where competition is at risk.
