Did You Know...? Waitrose has teamed up with wine-maker Mirabeau to launch a line of frozen rosé popsicles called frosé', as the trend for frozen alcoholic treats continues to rise with the temperatures. Each ice pop retails at £2.99 and contains an ABV of 8%.

Did You Know...? US doughnut chain Krispy Kreme is to hire 150 people to staff its new Irish factory store, due to open in Blanchardstown in September, the first move by the brand in the Irish market. The new factory store will include a 24-hour drive-thru.

Did You Know...? Java Republic, Ireland’s premier food partner for coffee and tea in Ireland, has become the first Irish roasting company to be awarded a certification of Premier Training Campus by the Specialty Coffee Association. The coffee chain has been training baristas since it first opened almost 20 years ago.

Did You Know...? Musgrave MarketPlace, Ireland’s leading wholesale supplier to foodservice, retail and SME’s has officially unveiled its newly revamped Cork branch to customers. The €2.5 million upgrade of the Ballycurreen-based branch forms part of a €10m investment to date in the Musgrave MarketPlace brand over the last three years as it continues to redefine wholesale on the island of Ireland.

Did You Know...? Arla Foods UK has seen its acquisition of Yeo Valley Dairies receive the green light from the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority. The two agreed on an acquisition deal in February, and the CMA has approved the move after a phase one investigation, giving Arla the exclusive rights to use the Yeo Valley brand in the UK market for milk, butter, spreads and cheese products
