Gillette, in partnership with international recycling leader TerraCycle, announced for the first-time in the United States that all brands of disposable razors, replaceable-blade cartridge units and razor plastic packaging are recyclable on a national-scale. Through the innovative partnership consumers are invited to recycle their razors in three ways; Gillette Razor Recycling Program, Gillette Razor Local Recycling Solutions, and Gillette On Demand Razor Recycling Program.

Just three months after launch, PepsiCo and Walkers Crisps has said that the UK’s first recycling scheme for crisp packets already has more than 8,500 collection points across the UK, and has already collected more than half a million packets. Once collected, packets are washed, shredded and then turned into plastic pellets that are used to make everyday items such as outdoor furniture, roofing, and flooring.

Did you know?... Exposing cheese to round-the-clock music could give it more flavor and hip hop might be better than Mozart, Swiss researchers said on Thursday. The experiment was carried out on nine wheels of Emmental cheese, which were exposed to different genres of music for 24 hours a day. Motzart and Led Zeppelin were among the songs that were played. The most obvious differences were observed in strength of flavour, smell, and taste, with the Hip Hop sample topping the list in terms of fruitiness.
