Did you know... KitKat will lose its EU-wide trademark over four-fingered chocolate bars because its ‘not known well enough’ in Ireland and other EU countries? The European court of justice turned down Nestle’s appeal, ruling that KitKats are not well known enough to retain the trademark granted to them in 2006.

Did you know... Sainsbury’s in the UK has said it will introduce ‘straight-to-pan’ plastic pouches for meat products? The move comes after a survey showed that touching raw meat induced high levels of anxiety among shoppers under the age of 35

Did you know...  JD Wetherspoon has closed all its social media accounts? It says it is ‘taking a stand against an industry accused of mis-using personal data and letting bullying ruin life’

Did you know... 20 Brazillian meat establishments have been banned from exporting meat to the EU? The facilities were voted against by the Member States following detected flaws in Brazil’s official control system. Of the 20 plants, 19 export poultry while the other exports beef.

Did you know... Sainsbury’s are introducing electric cargo bikes to make deliveries to customers? The UK retailer said that it is testing whether it would be more time efficient for customers living in busy cities as the bikes can use cycle lanes during peak traffic.

Did you know...  Britain are banning plastic straws? Theresa May is implementing the ban on straws and other single-use products in order to cut down avoidable waste.
