Did you know?... Knorr and Mikado International have brought that feeling to life in a series of three TV commercials within their “Love is Mom’s Cooking” campaign. The campaign celebrates how cooking is an act of love that is passed down between a Chinese mother and daughter. The commercial series explores a young woman named Lee May going through life from childhood, to adulthood, to motherhood. What bridges the stories together is her connection to her mother’s cooking through a very special bowl of noodle soup made with Knorr Chicken Powder.

Did you know?... Henkel, a leader in Laundry & Home Care, Beauty Care and Adhesive Technologies, announced it will make another significant investment in building infrastructure and equipment to enhance laundry product production at its facility in Bowling Green, KY. In addition, the company will partner with its packaging supplier ALPLA, to invest in infrastructure and equipment for a new bottle production area on the Henkel Bowling Green campus. Together, the investments total more than $130 million to increase efficiency, create capacity for growth and drive energy savings at the plant.

Did you know?... UK Supermarket shoppers snapped up millions extra in cheaper own-label goods over the past month in a sign of increasing consumer caution over household budgets. Research firm Nielsen’s latest data for the four weeks to August 10 found customers put an extra £85 million of own-label products in their shopping baskets compared to a year ago, with a 7% rise in frozen foods and a 6% increase in canned goods. Nielsen’s UK head of insight Mike Watkins said shoppers were drawn to the “lower price points” amid “increasing caution” overspending. Sales of branded goods also suffered in comparison with last year’s hot summer and World Cup, when stores slashed prices.

Did you know?... Coca-Cola GmbH has announced that it has appointed Bjorn Jensen as the new managing director of Coca-Cola Germany, Denmark, and Finland, effective 1 October 2019. He will succeed Bianca Bourbon, who has been named the vice-president of operations of the Coca-Cola Asia Pacific (APAC) Group. Most recently, Jensen served as the director of strategy and insights for Coca-Cola Western Europe.

Did you know?... Nestlé has announced that its Health Science division has acquired the Seattle-based personalised nutrition business, Persona. Founded in 2017, Persona is one of the leading names in personalised health supplements. It takes into account specific factors like lifestyle, history and individual needs to prescribe nutritional supplements. The brand will operate under Nestlé Health Science's USA-based Atrium Professional Brands, the food giant said.
