Did you know…? UK retailers are going for a different approach to attract customers this easter, by launching intriguing new alternatives to the traditional chocolate easter eggs. Waitrose has introduced its ‘Chocolate Avocado’, which looks like an avocado but is made from 100% chocolate. Meanwhile, Asda has introduced the ‘Cheester Egg’, a half-egg-shaped cheese with mini oatcake crackers and a sachet of caramelised onion chutney.

Did you know…? Diageo’s Johnnie Walker Whisky is rolling out a female version of its iconic logo, ‘Jane Walker’, in an attempt to draw more women to the world’s best-selling scotch and acknowledge a broader push toward gender equality, according to the drinks company.

Did you know…? Taiwan’s government has started monitoring toilet paper distributors and retailers for signs of price manipulation after the local media said that brands would up prices by as much as 30% next month, leading to anxious shoppers stocking up on the product and clear store shelves over the weekend.

Did you know…? While the 'Beast from the East' covers Britain in a blanket of snow and ice, the first homegrown strawberries of the year have gone on sale in the country's supermarkets this week, after a fruit grower near Cowbridge in the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales, broke the record for picking the earliest ever crop of the popular berry.

Did you know…? Paper packaging giant Tetra Pak has delivered more than half a billion units of its fully-renewable packaging solution, Tetra Rex Bio-based, which it says is the world's first beverage carton to be manufactured entirely from renewable materials.


Did you know…? Nestlé Waters has announced the introduction of a new bottle made entirely from recycled plastic for its Nestlé Pure Life water brand. The new 700ml bottle is made from 100% food-grade recycled plastic, known as rPET, and will be available in stores in North America from next month.
