Did you know?... German discounter Kaufland has introduced new packaging for its self-service mince meat, which uses 70% less plastic than before. Instead of plastic, Kaufland uses now a cardboard carton with a thin plastic film to package the product, the retailer explained. By separating the carton and plastic film, both substances can get recycled separately. The new packaging was introduced in October in 30 Kaufland branches in the south of Germany.

Did you know?... South Korea's top convenience store chain suspended the sale of flavoured liquid e-cigarettes made by US company Juul Labs on Thursday, a day after the government warned the public to stop using such products citing fatalities in the United States, reports Reuters. The GS25 chain halted sales of three of Juul Labs' products including "tropical" - the equivalent of mango in the United States - and one made by South Korean company KT&G, store parent company GS Retail said.
