Did you know… Former Lidl Sweden chief executive Conor Boyle will be moving to a new post in Lidl Northern Ireland? According to The Belfast Telegraph, Boyle has worked for the discounter since 2002 and was made chief executive of the Swedish division in August 2013. Lidl currently boasts 5.2% market share in Northern Ireland, up from 4.4% the previous year.
Did you know... Quality Butchers in Ballyfermot, Co. Dublin, has reopened thanks to the backing of a mysterious investor? The Echo reported that the business was forced to close on January 30, with staff being made immediately redundant, but was able to reopen just five days later after a new backer took on the lease.

According to the paper, Ornua is in the midst of a major expansion drive, and the butter processing plant, called Kerrygold Park, will see it go head to head with its members for the first time - Dairygold, which sits on the Ornua board, is located right beside the new facility.
