Did you know... Visa Europe has appointed Philip Konopik as its Ireland Country Manager? Before joining Visa, Konopik was part of the leadership team at Market Gravity, a London based growth and innovation consultancy company. He replaces Conor Langford, who has been promoted within the Visa organisation.

Did you know... Maxol has awarded another customer €100 in fuel vouchers for participating in its Customer Feedback programme? Rebecca Keeling of Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford was this month's lucky prize-winner. The Customer Feedback programme is part of Maxol’s TLC awards, which rewards retailers for high standards and exceptional customer service.

Did you know... Aldi is promoting a range of 'Specialbuys' for Valentine’s Day? Wines feature prominently, as do luxury chocolates and Valentines-themed cards, gift bags and cuddly toys. There is also a range of nightwear available for both men and women, which come in Marvel, Star Wars and Batman designs, among others.

Did you know... UK consumers are on average paying 89% extra to buy organic produce? According to a study by VoucherBox.co.uk, shopping for organic essentials alone could cost up to £900 extra annually. Carrots were found to have the highest price difference, with the organic option being 208% more expensive than its non-organic counterpart.

Did you know... Independent News & Media chief executive Robert Pitt has been appointed to the board of the media company? Pitt had previously held senior management roles in central Europe at Tesco and Lidl. He has been chief executive at INM since September 2014.

Did you know... BT Ireland has announced six new senior appointments to its sales division? The company has also released its financial results, which show a 4% growth in underlying revenue for the third quarter to 31st December 2015. BT has been focusing on the services it offers multi-national corporations, and just posted its third consecutive quarter of revenue growth.
