Did You Know … The Audi Dublin International Film Festival 2017, taking place 16 to 26 February, has announced its official media partner? The Ireland edition of The Times, the digital newspaper, and The Sunday Times, Ireland’s leading Sunday newspaper will be featured across the Festival’s marketing channels, and subscribers to those newspapers will be offered a chance to win VIP tickets to the Festival’s red carpet gala.

Did You Know … The founder of one of the world’s largest medical outsourcing firms is investing £2 million in a Northern Irish start-up? Dr Richard Steeves, who built Synergy Health, is investing the funds in arc-net, a company he says will ‘revolutionise traceability in the global food chain’.

Did You Know … Revenue officers have seized approximately 65,000 unstamped cigarettes, 7.5kg of unstamped tobacco, and 57 litres of vodka in Co Cork? The tobacco products have a retail value in excess of €40,000, representing a loss to the Exchequer of approximately €32,000. The officers were assisted by detector dog Harvey.

Did You Know … Clare Country Council is rolling out free public WiFi to Ennis town centre? The open WiFi is intended to bring people to the town, and is part of a larger plan to bring free internet to other towns in the county as well.

Did You Know … the Irish Farmers Journal will lifestream its livestock demonstrations at Ennis Mart on Wednesday? The stream will be viewable on www.FarmersJournal.ie from 7pm and follows two successful demonstrations in Balla Mart, Co mayo and Raphoe Mart, Co Donegal.
