Did You Know... studies show that a Mediterranean diet could reduce the risk of dementia? According to Irishexaminer.ie, studies presented at the Alzheimer's Association International Conference show that a diet that consists of oily fish, fresh vegetables and nuts can lower the risk of dementia.

Did You Know … Dublin bakery business, Decobake has started taking orders again after being put into provisional liquidation? The Irish Independent reported that Decobake was facing a winding up order over the non-payment of €102,000 in commercial rates.

Did You Know... Nestlé has announced plans to open a confectionery in Japan? Reported by confectionaryproduciton.com, Nestlé hopes to "strengthen its supply chain and respond to demand for local flavours such as wasabi."

Did You Know … Irish drinks company Vit Hit has signed a US distribution deal worth approximately €17.5 million? According to The Sunday Independent, the deal is with New Jersey-based Honickman Group, and could see Vit Hit’s sales double from 18 million bottles this year, to 36 million next year.

Did You Know... a man in Northern Ireland brought his sheep into an Antrim supermarket? The man allegedly commented that he was aware there was a 'No Dogs Policy', but there wasn't a 'No Animals Policy', reports Irishtimes.ie.

Did You Know … health supplement supplier, Revive is planning to raise €1 million for a US expansion? The Sunday Business Post reports that the company is also in the final stages of seeking approval from the US Food and Drug Administration, with hopes of selling in Florida as early as next year.
