Did You Know … The doors of GROW HQ, GIY’s National Food Education Centre in Waterford City are now officially open to the public? GROW HQ will serve as an urban grow school, cookery school, cafe, farm-shop and food gardens. GROW HQ is expected to attract 250,000 visitors within the next 5 years and train 17,000 people to grow and cook their own food.

Did You Know … Deep RiverRock has tweaked its Forest Fruits and Lemon and Limes recipe? Forest Fruits and Lemon & Lime will relaunch this month, joining Deep RiverRock Strawberry to offer full zero-sugar range of great-tasting flavoured water, all with no calories.

Did You Know … The Irish Cocktail Festival begins this week? More than 75 venues across the country will participate in the celebrations. The event is hosted by Oisin Davis' Great Irish Beverages and features a number of specially-made drinks which will all have an Irish spirit or liqueur as their leading ingredient. The Festival kicks off on October 10 and runs until October 15.

Did You Know …  Hula Hoops Ireland is donating €6000 to Spinal Injuries Ireland? Launching the initiative at the Women’s Mini Marathon on 6 June, Hula Hoops supported Spinal Injuries Ireland for their summer Fun Never Grows Up - #GETHOOPING campaign. The public was encouraged to share their Hula Hooping pictures and videos to Hula Hoops Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.

Best Web Development Agency was awarded to Square1.io; Best Cloud Service to Optimise Business Performance was awarded to Bizimply; and Best International Newcomer – ‘’Welcome to the Neighbourhood’’ was presented to Optimal Workshop, originally based in Wellington, New Zealand and now Dublin too.

Did You Know … salad company Murryhill Foods has plans for a major national expansion? The food start-up intends to expand to supermarkets across Ireland and is also looking into export markets.
