Londis’ ‘Local Like You’ advertising and social media campaign has been announced as a finalists at the prestigious All Ireland Marketing Awards 2019 (AIM) and has also been shortlisted in the An Post Smart Marketing Awards.
The multi-platform campaign, a contemporary take on Londis’ marketing legacy of ‘local like you’, was broadcast across television, video on demand, and in-store point of sale, and was accompanied by a digital and social media campaign.
The new campaign leads with the tagline ‘We know what locals want because we’re local like you’.
'The Londis advertising and social media campaign used sales data from stores across Ireland to create a fun, innovative campaign that dramatises our local knowledge in a highly memorable and engaging manner,' the retailer explained in a statement.
'The campaign ran across a multitude of platforms and featured heavily on video-on-demand outlets,' it added.
Londis’ innovative advertising and social media campaign is a finalist in the competitive ‘Video and Apps’ category in the AIM Awards and has been included in the shortlist for the 'Smartest use of data' category in the An Post Smart Marketing Awards for the same campaign.
The AIM programme is organised by The Marketing Institute of Ireland and is the nation's premier means of recognising the success of Irish marketing professionals and acknowledging their major contribution to the ongoing process of strengthening the economy of our island.
Londis has been included in a category with true international global brands, which is indicative of how successful their campaign was.
The AIM Ceremony takes place on Thursday, May 16 at the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road.
The An Post Smart Marketing Awards rewards and celebrates the very smartest thinking in Irish Marketing with the winners announced at a gala ceremony on May 30 at the Mansion House in Dublin.
