Mondelez Reports 2014 Profits Rise At Irish Subsidiary

According to the Irish Times, Cadbury-owner Mondelez has reported pretax profits of €3.2 million at one of its key Irish subsidiaries, Mondelez Ireland Limited, for the 12 months ending December 2014.

The figures mark a 29% increase compared to the year previous. Turnover did not change, at €215 million, and operating profits increased from €2.9 million to 23.7 million.

Confectionary accounted for €175 million of total turnover. Beverages totalled €24 million. Mondelez Ireland Limited also recorded €15.7 million in food products-related turnover.

Last month, Mondelez appointed Eoin Kellet as its new managing director in place of Louise Stigant. It employed 137 people at the end of 2014, with most of the group’s Irish employees on the books of a separate subsidiary, Mondelez Ireland Production Ltd.
