Revenue Officers seized 28,000 ‘Kent’ cigarettes with a retail value of €15,000 on Sunday last at Dublin Airport.

Working with detector dog Frankie, during a routine search they stopped two passengers who had just arrived on a flight from Frankfurt.

A 24 year old Moldovan woman was arrested and brought before Dublin District Court Monday afternoon, where she is remanded in custody. She will appear in court again next Tuesday (08/11/16).

The illegal cigarette represented a potential loss to the Exchequer in excess of €9,000.
