Spar is set to continue its longstanding partnership with Donal Skehan after agreeing a deal to sponsor RTE’s new ‘Meals in Minutes Christmas Special’ as part of the convenience retail brand’s overall €300k Christmas marketing campaign, it announced today (19 December).
The cookery programme will air at 7pm on Thursday 21 December.
“We’re delighted to be partnering with Donal once again for what we expect to be a fantastic show. He has a great likeability factor and has a knack for making delicious food look fun and effortless.” Colin Donnelly, SParsales director said.
“The timing of the show will strongly complement the rest of our Christmas activity, particularly our popular TV advert, and we’ve no doubt that it will resonate strongly with our customers in the run up to the festive period.”
Spar's wider Christmas campaign also includes its internationally renowned Spar delivering Christmas TV advert and its #underthetree Twitter Tree campaign which aims to raise up to €20,000 for Cystic Fibrosis Ireland this Christmas having also raised €20,000 for the National Children's Hospital as part of the same initiative last year.
