Aldi Announces Foray Into First Communion Dresses Market

Aldi has unveiled a new range of Communion wear, featuring Communion dresses for just €24.99.

It is the first time that the discounter will offer Communion products, and the range 'promises parents the best value on Communion dresses in Ireland', the company said in a statement.

The dresses are available in two designs, while Communion Shrugs, a matching Handbag and Glove set and Head-dresses are also available.

“Celebrating First Communion is a rite of passage that can be an expensive time for families in Ireland, with everything from outfits to food and entertainment to cater for," said Rob Farrell, Aldi Ireland’s Group Buying Director.

"At Aldi, we’re really excited about offering our customers the opportunity to make huge savings with our €24.99 Communion dresses. Our Irish buying team has worked hard to source elegantly designed dresses from quality fabrics with every attention to detail."

The dresses go on sale from 16 March.
