With Aldi's Project Fresh layout and design, the store will have a large shop floor of 1,118m², 75 free car park spaces, and is set to create 20 new jobs.
This is all part of Aldi's €160 million investment in its Irish store network and its committed €100 million to opening 20 new stores.
According to the statement, the store will be powered by 100% green electricity as the retailer has been investing in improving energy management systems.
"The opening of Aldi Royal Canal Park is great news for local shoppers as we have the best grocery prices in Ireland," said Kart Paalma, store manager, Aldi.
"Our Swap and Save campaign continues into 2019 and the goal of this campaign is to remind shoppers about the saving that can be generated by swapping their weekly shop to Aldi,” he said.
It is also investing more than €500,000 in year two of its Grow with Aldi supplier development programme.
Aldi has also increased its support for small Irish supplies and will sell over €700 million worth of Irish goods this years sourced from Irish producers, manufactures and suppliers.
