ASAI Appoints Orla Twomey As New CEO

The Advertising Standards Authority for Ireland (ASAI) has appointed Orla Twomey as its new Chief Executive Officer.

With over 26 years experience working with the group, Twomey has served as Assistant Chief Executive with the ASAI since 2004, and take the reins from outgoing CEO Frank Goodman,

She holds a first class honours Bachelor of Business Studies (Hons), with a specialisation in Marketing, from the Institute of Public Administration (IPA).

In her new role, Twomey will work in the development of ASAI’s policies and strategies, as well as liaise with the organisation’s Board and Complaints Committee.

She will also represent the ASAI on the European Standards Alliance Board and its Executive Committee and ensure the achievement of all ASAI objectives.

Chairperson of the ASAI, Sean O’Meara welcomed the appointment, saying, “Orla’s grasp of self-regulation is quite astonishing and her wise counsel and guidance is what the ASAI will need over the coming, challenging years.

“We are extremely fortunate to have her experience, insight and depth of knowledge. The Board of the ASAI joins me in wishing Orla the very best in her new role.”
