Centra Goes Back To Basics With 'New And Improved Bakery' Range

Centra has gone back to basics with it 'New & Improved Bakery' range, which it launched yesterday in the Drury Buildings, Dublin.

It's natural and wholesome range is free from artificial flavours and colours and the convenience retailer outlined that it is keeping the ingredients simple and is 'using wholesome Irish products wherever possible.'

Speaking at the launch, Centra Ambassador Pippa O’Connor said, “Centra’s new bakery range is perfect for someone like me; constantly on the go with little or no time to bake from scratch, but isn’t willing to compromise on quality or taste! It’s so handy to be able to pick up wholesome bread and a little sweet treat when on the go, that you know is of good quality and freshly baked each day. It saves time, its hassle free and helps me get on with my typically hectic day.”

It's new bakery range includes an old style cob, batch loaf, high fibre seed and carrot bread, tomato and olive focaccia as well as a raspberry and amaretti chocolate brownie to name but a few.

Pastry chef, Paul Kelly, added, “I’m delighted to be part of the launch of Centra’s new and improved Bakery range. As a Pastry chef, baking is my Passion and very close to my heart and while I’m a big fan of baking from scratch with the best ingredients, I know it’s not always possible in everyday fast paced lives. It’s fantastic to see a bakery range that you can pick up when on the go that focuses on simple wholesome and local ingredients which is what the fundamentals of great baking is all about.”
