Did you know ...? Retailer Kaufland has opened what it claims to be one of the 'most modern and sustainable' greenhouses in Germany. The German chain is looking to focus on more locally-grown produce due to supply chain issues. In the new Kaufland greenhouse, strawberries, tomatoes, and peppers are grown and harvested all year round on an area the size of 22 football pitches, reports ESMmagazine.com. Some of the electricity and heat required for this is already being covered almost exclusively by renewable energy, with plans to move to 100% in the near future.

The unit will operate from 12 pm daily, seven days a week. Lauren Murray of Pizza Hut Drimnagh stated, "We are over the moon to open the doors of Pizza Hut Drimnagh this month. So much hard work has gone on behind the scenes to get this location up and running and we are so excited to welcome this globally recognised brand to Drimnagh. We cannot wait to see what the local community thinks of the brand new location."
