She will join the board of aid organisation Vi-skogen as working chair and also take up a role at Kooperativa Förbundet (the Swedish Co-operative Union) to work on strategic cooperative development, the retailer added.
Did you know ...? UK retailer Sainsbury’s has reduced the number of items offered under its Price Lock campaign by more than a fifth since the beginning of the year, according to media reports. In early January, the campaign offered approximately 2,100 items, which now stand at 1,640, shrinking by more than 20% as of 15 August, reports The Grocer. The Price Lock campaign offers low prices for at least eight weeks on a range of branded everyday essentials in the food, drink, toiletry and household categories.

Polish supermarket chain Biedronka, a unit of Portugal’s Jerónimo Martins, could be fined up to 10% of its annual revenue, consumer watchdog UOKiK noted, over an advertising campaign that the regulator claims was potentially misleading, reports ESMmagazine.com. Poland’s largest chain of discount stores offered to refund customers the difference if they found one of 150 products cheaper elsewhere, as part of a promotion that ran from April to June.
