Did you know ...? Around 83% of Dutch shoppers use a supermarket app, with offers and digital loyalty cards being the most sought-after features, a survey from PanelWizard and Albert Heijn’s data has revealed. For 79.5% of shoppers, the convenience of having everything in one place plays a significant role in using digital tools for daily shopping. Around 60% of shoppers who use supermarket apps do this to view offers, while about 28% look for recipes.

Did you know ...? Spanish retailer Mercadona has announced that it has reformulated the recipe of its own-brand mayonnaise, based on suggestions from customers. The flavour of the retailer’s private-label mayonnaise range, which includes six SKUs, has been improved by eliminating acidity, the retailer noted. In addition, the texture of the improved recipe is denser, while sugars have been reduced and preservatives eliminated by adding natural flavourings.

Did you know ...? Shopper numbers across Britain slumped by 32% last Friday versus the previous Friday, as Storm Eunice kept people at home, researcher Springboard announced on Monday. The Atlantic storm battered north-western Europe with record winds of up to 122 miles per hour, killing at least nine people, knocking out power for tens of thousands, and shredding the roof of London’s O2 Arena.
