Did you know ...? Hungarian investment manager Indotek Group has entered into a strategic partnership with Auchan Retail Hungary, acquiring a 47% stake in the company, reports ESMmagazine.com. Additionally, Indotek has acquired Ceetrus Hungary and Nhood Services Hungary, which between them operate various retail premises in Auchan hypermarket outlets across the country. The transaction will make Indotek a major investor in Auchan Hungary, while the chain’s day-to-day operations will continue to be managed by the existing Auchan management team.

Still, the global interest in using them hasn’t waned even three years after the lockdowns, pushing the entire market's revenue and downloads to all-time highs. According to data presented by OnlyAccounts.io, shopping apps have grossed more than $100 billion and hit 4.6 billion downloads in the past five years.

Did you know ...? Dutch retailer Albert Heijn has launched AH Terra, a new range of own-brand, plant-based products as it seeks to contribute to a more sustainable food system by shifting from animal proteins to plant proteins, reports ESMmagazine.com. Currently, 44% of protein items sold by Albert Heijn is plant based. It aims to increase this figure to 50% by 2025 and 60% by 2030. AH Terra will offer around 200 plant-based products, ranging from coffee, hummus and vegetable spreads, plant-based cheese and meat products, plant-based meat substitutes, as well as plant-based mayonnaise, margarine, snacks and plant-based shrimp.
