Did you know ...? The Teagasc Forestry Development Department has announced the prize winners in Category Two of its ongoing forest photo competition, ‘Celebrating a Shared National Vision of Trees, Woods and Forests.’ The theme of Category Two is ‘Forests for People’, and the winner is Noel Lehane, from Cork, with his dynamic picture, titled ‘Tug of War’. Lehane’s category-winning photo was chosen from a wide range of photographs submitted to the competition from all across the country. He will receive a voucher worth €400 and will also be entered into the grand final on 16 December, when an overall winner will be chosen from each of the three competition category winners. The overall winner will receive a further voucher for €600.

Did you know ...? Online supermarket sales in Italy are set to beat the record €1.8 billion recorded last year, new data from NielsenIQ has revealed. In the period from January to September 2022, the online grocery sector in Italy was worth €1.4 billion, of which €185 million was recorded in September alone, according to NielsenIQ. During the period from January to September, the sector reported turnover growth of 9% – second only to the discount channel (10.4%) – reports ESMmagazine.com.

Did you know ...? UK retailer the Co-operative has launched a new version of its Ever Ground coffee brand, which can be prepared at home. The retailer has added two new 100% Fairtrade coffee SKUs – whole-bean and ground coffee – which are available in Co-op and NISA stores across the UK, reports ESMmagazine.com. The brand, launched in 2020, was previously only available as an on-the-go drink from coffee vending machines in Co-op stores. Grace Bowker, own-brand planning manager at the Co-op, said, “We’re thrilled to be bringing Ever Ground to the shelves for the first time, following the success of our hot-drinks launch in 2020.”
