Donnybrook Fair To Open In Dundrum This Month

Donnybrook Fair is set to open its doors at Dundrum Town Centre at the end of this month.

Designed over two floors, it will be the grocer’s flagship store and will 'perfectly blend a premium grocery experience with a restaurant experience.'

Based at the centre’s Pembroke Square quarter, the new food emporium will feature a food market on the ground floor and a restaurant and bar on the first floor.

According to the Irish artisan and speciality grocer, the food hall will be a 'treasure-chest' of culinary delights with 'eye-catching' seasonal displays, speciality counters offering premium fresh produce, in-store theatre experiences, and an array of freshly prepared meals representing the latest food trends from the Donnybrook Fair Kitchen.

Donnybrook Fair says that the fresh food areas will feature salads and pastas, Irish and Continental charcuterie, pies, noodles, cheeses, and fresh pre-prepared dishes.

The fresh meat counter will include 'all manner and cuts of meats and game,' while the nearby seafood counter will deliver 'the best our shores have to offer.'

The store's baristas will be making exclusive Donnybrook Fair single origin coffees for customers to consume on site or take away.

Loft At Donnybrook Fair

The new outlet will feature a restaurant called Loft at Donnybrook Fair on the upper floor, which will offer 'fresh, locally sourced food and an extensive drinks menu in a relaxed setting.'

Donnybrook Fair said that it will host cooking classes, along with food and wine demonstrations, throughout the year.

Initial Announcement

On 23 July, Dundrum Town Centre owner Hammerson first announced that it had attracted Donnybrook Fair to the Dublin 16 shopping centre.

The new food destination will be the retailer’s sixth Irish store.

Donnybrook Fair will occupy a 900 square metres of space at the shopping centre and visitors can enter the retail food market on the ground floor, right through to the restaurant and bar space on Level 1.

At the time of the announcement, Don Nugent, centre director at Dundrum Town Centre, commented, “Both Dundrum Town Centre and Donnybrook Fair place a huge emphasis on providing customers with a quality and inspiring experience. This new store is promised to offer a unique and fantastic customer experience for every type of foodie and we can’t wait for the big reveal later this year."

Established in 1991, Donnybrook Fair is a family business that is owned by Joe and Mary Doyle.

The business was acquired by Musgrave in 2018.
