Duncan Graham Steps Down From His Role As Managing Director Of Retail Excellence Ireland

Retail Excellence Ireland (REI), the largest representative body for the retail sector in Ireland, has announced that the managing director of the organisation, Duncan Graham, is to leave his position to pursue a new opportunity.In a statement, Jean McCabe, Chairperson of REI, thanked Graham for his service as managing director and wished him success in his future career.

She, said, “Duncan was managing director during the Covid pandemic which was an exceptionally difficult period for the retail sector in Ireland.

"He made a very important contribution to the organisation during that period, and we are very grateful. We wish him every success in his career in the future." McCabe will fulfil the role of managing director on an interim basis while the organisation engages in the recruitment process for Duncan's replacement.

'Enormous Challenges' She said that the retail sector continued to face enormous challenges.

“While the Covid crisis has passed, huge challenges remain for retailers. Retail Excellence Ireland has a critical role to play in keeping in close touch with, supporting and representing the views of retailers across the country," she added.

"This organisation has a critical role to play in supporting retailers across the country and helping them meet the challenges facing the sector and we will not be found wanting.”
