Eurospar To Take Over SuperValu Kinnegad

Eurospar is taking over the SuperValu supermarket in Kinnegad this week (November 10, 2016), and a complete overhaul of the existing premises on Main Street will take place in the coming weeks to bring a new shop to local customers.

The refurbished store will be substantially increased in size and has been designed to deliver on the Eurospar ‘Famous for Fresh’ promise to shoppers. The fresh foods offering will include extensive fruit and veg, butchery and delicatessen departments. A full-service bakery will also be introduced, serving freshly baked breads and confectionery every day. The store also now serves premium coffee brand, Insomnia, as well as a grocery and off licence offering.

A new seating area and in-store Post Office facilities will also be part of the refurbishment works.

Willie Forde, Operations Director for the Furey/Smyth Group, will be the new operator of Eurospar Kinnegad, and says he is looking forward to showcasing the new supermarket: “Our new Eurospar supermarket will provide a much better offering for local shoppers. We hope you will bear with us as we upgrade the store over coming weeks but I think everyone will be delighted with the end result.”

Malachy Hanberry, Managing Director of Eurospar, this store will be a great new resource for the locality: “We are delighted to welcome Eurospar Kinnegad to the family of 50 Eurospar supermarkets Nationwide. Eurospar supermarkets are at the heart of local communities and we aim to ensure that Eurospar Kinnegad will be a valuable asset to the local community. We look forward to working with local man Willie Forde to ensure that the people of Kinnegad have a great shopping experience on their doorstep.”
