Fallon & Byrne Exchequer Street Outlet Extension Gets Green Light

Fallon & Byrne has reportedly secured planning permission for a big extension at its flagship store, on Exchequer street in Dublin.

An Bord Pleanála gave the food hall, wine bar and restaurant group the go-ahead, one month ahead of schedule, reports the Irish Times.

According to the newspaper the construction will take place across three floors and the plan includes a new outdoor terrace on the second floor.

Recent Closure

The news follows the recent closure of its outlet in Rathmines, Dublin.

The company recently took to social media to post to confirm the closure of its Swan shopping centre branch.

Fallon & Bryne was established over 12 years ago and aside from its outlet in the capital, the group also runs a restaurant in the Peoples Park in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin.

In 2018, it also announced plans to open a new 10,000 square foot speciality food hall in Dundrum Town Centre.
