Former Supplier Accuses Tesco Of "Concealment By Fraud" At High Court

Tesco Ireland has 'vigorously denied' fraud allegations made against it by a former CD and DVD supplier to the retailer, Beaumex.

Beaumex accused the company of "concealment by fraud", alleging that it operated an accounting system that made it impossible for the supplier to see how much it was actually owed, reports the Irish Independent.

In a High Court hearing last week, the CD and DVD supplier alleged that Tesco’s system made it impossible for it to figure out if it was being underpaid or not.

Tesco Ireland fully denies all claims made by Beaumex, and says that it will be vigorously challenging them.

Beaumex first lodged a case against Tesco in 2013, in which it reportedly sought €3.96 million that it claimed it was owed by the supermarket chain.

The case will come back before the High Court next month.
