Tony Keohane, the former CEO and chairman of Tesco Ireland, who left recently after 20 years at boardroom level, has joined the board of retail technology company MarketHub.

Keohane will chair MarketHub's advisory board as the firm looks to bring its technology offering to market.

MarketHub is a cloud based ERP platform that allows retailers to connect real time competitor monitoring, pricing analytics and optimisation with content rich pricing electronic price labels on the shop floor .

"Having the backing of someone with the stature and experience of Tony is a huge asset to MarketHub as we engage with the retail market in the UK and Ireland," MarketHub founder Roy Horgan explained.

"Our technology will change the way retailers manage their data and customer engagement, ensuring they can compete in a digital age. Without having reams of data and people analysing sales in central offices it is tough for medium to small retailers to compete against the large chains."
