Galway-based Pizzeria Collaborates With Coca-Cola HBC On Youth Initiative

Galway-based pizzeria owners the Dough Bros, has joined forces with #YouthEmpowered, an initiative of Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company (HBC), to ‘urge young people’ across the west of Ireland to register for free life and business skills training courses online.

Now in its second year, the #YouthEmpowered programme seeks to support those aged 18-30 across Ireland and Northern Ireland who are not in education, employment or training with the skills and confidence to aim high and make their goals a reality.

With 460 young people benefitting from classroom training sessions in 2017, this year also sees the introduction of the new Digital Hub, offering e-learning courses to equip job seekers with essential skills to succeed.

It is the ambition of Coca-Cola HBC that 750 young people in total will benefit from the programme in 2018, through both live workshops and the new online training.

Ronan and Eugene Greaney, the Dough Bros owners said that in relation to their own business it has taken them "a fair few years to make Dough Bros the success it is today, and they still have more to go".

“Self-belief, perseverance and the support of others have been critical in getting us through all the ups and downs we’ve experienced on our journey to date,” they explained.

“By partnering with the #YouthEmpowered programme, we want to show all young people what is possible if you have belief in yourself and take every challenge as an opportunity.”
