Keohane Keeping Busy Following Tesco Departure

The news last week that former Tesco chairman and chief executive Tony Keohane has joined retail technology startup MarketHub adds to a list of companies and organisations the Corkman is now associated with.

In June, Keohane joined the board of Bord Bia, for a three-year term.

He is also chairman of Repak (since November 2013), a member of the Department of Social Protection's Labour Market Council, and is a commercial board member (non executive director) at both Trinity College Dublin and Munster Rugby.

Lastly, Keohane also runs Keohane Conaty Consulting Ltd, a business set up in 2014 alongside Mary Conaty.

Keohane served as Tesco Ireland chief executive from March 2006 to July 2013, and as chairman from July 2013 to earlier this month.

Commenting on his appointment to MarketHub, founder Roy Horgan said "Having the backing of someone with the stature and experience of Tony is a huge asset to MarketHub as we engage with the retail market in the UK and Ireland."
