Lidl Ireland And EssenceMediacom Launch New Easter Campaign

Lidl Ireland has teamed up with EssenceMediacom to launch a high-impact Easter campaign ahead of the holiday this weekend.

The campaign presents the opportunity for two winners to indulge in a year’s worth of Deluxe Irish Chocolate.

To enter, hopefuls scan the QR code on one of the three large advertising sites. These are located on Leeson Street Upper, Dublin; Patrick Street, Cork; and O’Connell Street, Limerick.

FolkVML designed the creative for the campaign in collaboration with Out of Home (OOH) media agency Posterplan.

Cavan-based Áine’s Handmade Chocolate crafts Deluxe Irish Chocolate and uses 100% recyclable packaging.

The chocolatier recently won the prestigious Great Taste Award for its mint Easter egg.

‘A Memorable Easter Experience’

The media coordinator at Lidl Ireland Aisling Meagher expressed her delight at the launch of the campaign.

Meagher said, “With Easter just around the corner, we’re delighted to showcase our extensive range of quality Irish produce while tying in our consumer favourite Lidl Plus app in a special way to Go Full Lidl this Easter.

“With more than 2 million Easter eggs sold across our network of Irish stores last year, we’re predicting shoppers will take an even bigger bite this year from our expanded range of premier Deluxe 100% Irish eggs.”

The group business director at Posterplan JoJo Cox also welcomed the collaboration, saying, “It’s been a thrill to collaborate on Lidl’s Easter OOH (out of home) campaign once again.

“Placed in strategically high-footfall areas, these prominent banners are impossible to ignore, inviting customers to engage with the brand in a memorable way.”
