Lynch's Centra Hosts Artisan Producer Showcase

Lynch’s Centra in Crosshaven, Cork, has played host to a Local Artisan Producer Showcase, featuring twenty SME food producers and inviting customers to sample a variety of locally sourced products and meet the producers.

The event was attended by Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Simon Coveney along with Mayor of the County Cork, Alan Coleman, who met with food producers to gain a greater understanding of their business and the challenges they face.

Minister Coveney welcomed the work retailer Bernard Lynch is doing with local food producers, saying  “In order for artisan companies to succeed, they need an outlet and retailer to work with. Being able to display products with shelf space to target consumers is very important and it is evident today that Bernard Lynch is actively supporting this objective.

"He is passionate about promoting local and artisan producers in the local community in Crosshaven and surrounding areas," the Minister added.

Mayor of County of Cork Alan Coleman explained the important of supporting local artisans, commenting, "At local Government level I would encourage producers to talk to their Local Enterprise Office to see what support is available to them."

Lynch commented "My customers’ tastes are evolving and, as a store owner, I need to meet these needs.  Locally sourced products are becoming more popular and I am fortunate to be working with some fantastic producers."
