Maxi Zoo Opens 33rd Irish Store In Dublin

Maxi Zoo has opened its 33rd Irish store – in Nutgrove Shopping Centre, Dublin – increasing the amount of Dublin employees to nearly 100.

The Nutgrove store is the retailer’s ninth Dublin premises, and the franchise now employs over 350 staff members across Ireland.

To mark the opening of the newest store, a weekend of celebrations took place on 6 and 7 July.

Festivities ran across the Saturday and Sunday, with face-painting, balloon-modellers, treats, and a red carpet for customers and their pets.

The team from Dublin radio station Spin 1038 were on site on Saturday, providing live DJ’ing, giveaways, and goodies for attendees.

Since the first store opened in Ballincollig, Co. Cork, in 2006, Maxi Zoo has evolved into Ireland’s largest specialty pet retailer.

Maxi Zoo boasts a diverse range of over 8,000 products for pet owners, as well as state-of-the-art grooming salons and aqua areas in a number of stores.

The newly opened store will see nine dedicated staff members added to Maxi Zoo’s workforce, contributing to the 350-strong complement across the country.

Speaking about the new-store opening, the head of marketing at Maxi Zoo Ireland, Anthony Cremin, said, “We’ve had a fantastic Q1 and Q2 of 2024, with a number of store openings around the country, including here in Dublin, with the Nutgrove store now operational.

“This latest development brings to nine Maxi Zoo’s stores across Dublin, which reflects the needs of pet owners for a quality service and range of products for their companion animals.

“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank our Dublin customers for their continuous support.”
