Petrogas Global Limited, which operates the Applegreen chain in Ireland and the UK, has posted a net profit after taxation of €5.8 million, for the year to end December 31, 2012.
Turnover at the business hit €719 million in the period, up from €590 million a year earlier, a 22% increase.
Turnover in its core Republic of Ireland business stood at €532 million, a 12% rise since the previous year, while its UK business accounted for €187 million. The number of people employed by the business stood at 549, up from 503 the previous year.
Commenting on the group’s performance, the directors said that the “group continues to trade profitably and expand its forecourt network both in Ireland, Northern Ireland and the UK.”
