Revenue Introduces New Tobacco Tax Stamp
Published on Mar 25 2015 9:46 AM in Retail
A new tobacco tax stamp for cigarettes and fine cut tobacco used in ‘roll your own’ products will be introduced in April by The Revenue Commissioners.
The new tax stamp contains enhanced security features to prevent counterfeiting and fraud. For the time being, tobacco packs will feature both the new and the old stamp. The old stamp will be phased out as stocks are sold and depleted.
Businesses or members of the public are invited to contact Revenue in confidence at 1800 295 295 if they have any questions.
